Robert Shlemon Adam – Countertenor

Countertenor Robert Shlemon Adam began performing as a boy soprano, singing with the Australian Youth Choir and Sydney Children’s Choir.

In 2005 and 2006, he sang as a soloist with Opera Australia (Shepherd Boy, Tosca; Chorus solo, La bohème; First Spirit, Die Zauberflöte), performing solos at OA’s 50th Anniversary and at Carols in the Domain. 

Robert has been a soloist for the ANZAC Military Tattoo, the Tianjin Youth Festival, China, Sydney Cultural Council, the APEC Cultural Concert, the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (Handel, Israel in Egypt), for the Royal Family of Spain as well as The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and Choir, and many concerts for charity and the community. In 2007, he was the youngest artist ever to be nominated for a Helpmann Green Room Award. 

Robert has completed his Master of Music (Opera Performance) in 2022 at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and now has plans to work in Australia and further his development overseas next year.
