Paul Tenorio – Tenor

Paul travelled to Rome in November 2013 to perform at the International Festival of Sacred Music and Art at the Vatican with the Newcastle University Chamber Choir (Echology).

Paul Tenorio studied voice at Newcastle conservatorium as a tenor, and made the change to become a countertenor in 2003, joining the Australian Brandenburg Choir that same year. Since that time he has been a regular member of the Australian Brandenburg Choir, taking part in Noel Noel, the annual Christmas concert series in Sydney and Melbourne. He has performed in numerous other works with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and Choir, including Handel’s Dixit Dominus, and Mozart’s Requiem.

Paul travelled to Rome in November 2013 to perform at the International Festival of Sacred Music and Art at the Vatican with the Newcastle University Chamber Choir (Echology).

Paul has performed in Newcastle over the years with various orchestras, such works as Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, J.S. Bach’s solo alto Cantatas BWV 169 & 170, also Wachet Auf, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Faure’s Requiem, and Carmina Burana.

He is also part of the five-voice male group Quintus, which performs on select occasions around Newcastle.
