Allegri Singers Mid-winter Concerts

For their mid-winter concerts, Bathurst’s Allegri Singers will welcome some brilliant young musicians to their ensemble.
Paris Masters, Harpist

EAT, SING & BE MERRY in Oberon and Bathurst

Paris, harpist

Paris is a young harpist, who has previously enhanced the concert programs of Allegri Singers, with her serene stage presence, her sensitive playing, and a beguiling choice of musical gems. Since becoming enchanted with the sound of the harp at the age of eight, she has become a highly talented exponent of the instrument. She has received scholarships through Mitchell Conservatorium, Bathurst, and has performed frequently in venues in and around the region.

Sisters, Sienna and Madeline both study at the Orange Regional Conservatorium, where they have received scholarships, focusing on Voice, Musical Theatre, and viola and cello respectively. They are active members of string and vocal ensembles, and have performed in numerous prestigious venues, both here and in Sienna’s case, in Europe.

Allegri Singers are excited to include these brilliant, emerging young performers in their current program, all under the baton of musical director, William Moxey, accompanied on piano/keyboard by Debbie Nicholls.

Kathy Powell, Soprano

Additionally, one of Allegri’s own choristers, Kathy Powell will join Sienna and Madeline for a favourite piece from Oliver, as well as a the well known and loved A Spoonful of Sugar from Mary Poppins fame. In a very funny song with the Allegri Singers, Kathy will showcase her musical and dramatic talents in I just want to sing in a choir!

The concerts display a variety of light music, including jazz, folk, musical theatre songs, and much more. As implied by the concert title, ‘Eat, Sing & Be Merry’, the afternoons’ entertainment will include the option of enjoying a delicious afternoon tea!

Sunday, July 6 at 2.30pm at Keystone, Keppel St., Bathurst.
Tickets. $35, plus optional afternoon tea. $18.
